Healing with Hypnosis – A Faster Way to Heal

As a Clinical Hypnotherapist who has had my own experience healing with hypnosis, I can tell you that the shifts that I have made and seen with others can be powerful and effective, especially when compared to other modalities of therapy.

Healing with hypnosis

A study put out by the American Health Magazine confirms that hypnotherapy is superior to other forms of therapy.

Psychoanalysis 38% recovery after 600 sessions

Behavior Therapy 72% recovery after 22 sessions

Hypnotherapy 93% recovery after 6 sessions

*Study was done in 1970 and conducted by Dr Alfred A. Barrios, Ph.D.

From what I often see with my own clients, hypnotherapy can provide fast and effective results.

Now I do agree with this study on hypnotherapy effectiveness because of the success I see with my own clients, however, I would like to mention that like anything results can be varied.

Every person and every issue will be different…

For some issues, such as those struggling with heavy heavier deep rooted issues, depression or obesity, a more realistic number of sessions might be closer to 10-12 or more.

Why is hypnotherapy so effective?

Because hypnotherapy is done in the subconscious state it is more direct and effective. You can understand more about what hypnotherapy is on my hypnotherapy FAQ page by visiting my professional page here.

You can understand how hypnotherapy is effective…

If you are starting to become a bit more interested in hypnotherapy, there is extensive clinical evidence available proving hypnotherapy effectiveness not just emotionally but physically too. Please connect with me personally and I can direct you to different resources based on your own personal areas of interest.

Anxiety, stress, PTSD, asthma, arthritis, bone fracture healing, depression, IBS, pain, phobias, smoking, public speaking, performance and spiritual unfoldment are just some of the areas where hypnotherapy can help.

The more insights that you gain on hypnotherapy, the more you will discover just how truly amazing it is.

Keep following my blog as I will keep writing easily digestible posts for you on hypnotherapy that are easy for you to understand and help you to continue to see how well it works and how it stacks up against other forms of therapy.

What to expect in a session…

Now let me walk you through the different forms of therapy styles that I do with my clients.

For the first part of the session, after client symptoms and goals have been established, I guide my client into entering into a hypnotic state. This state can be similarly compared to a meditation. I guide my clients deep down… and then even deeper.

Once they have entered into a deep hypnotic state I will do one of or a few of the following:

Suggestive Therapy

Suggestive Therapy is used once the client has entered a hypnotic state and they are in a high state of suggestibility. I make positive suggestions to reprogram the subconscious mind. The reprogramming helps to encourage a more desired thought process and belief systems, habits etc. based on a client’s individual goals.

Regression Therapy

Regression Therapy is used to take a person back to the root cause of a symptom-the first time when the individual experienced the trauma.  Because getting to the root cause of a symptom means that we will have to regress back to the initial trauma, this can mean going back to a time as an early child, even remembering a scene as early as an infant. Many clients that I have worked with regress back to 2-6 years old. Sometimes an earlier age or at a later age. All is very personally dependent.

I will do another post on past life regressions which I have had several clients experience as well. Please do comment below and let me know what your personal views are on past lives are I would love to hear them!

Deep Subconscious Inner Mind Techniques

I also do other types of techniques within the deep subconscious inner levels completely dependent on personal goals and what we have discussed prior to the session.

I have specific visualization techniques that are used for clients who are struggling with issues surrounding relationships, self discovery, spiritual unfoldment and connection to their higher selves. Each session is different as

We are all unique!

I can only articulate what hypnotherapy is to an extent- truly this is something that really is an experience. If you want to book a session you can check out my professional page here.

I love to hear any comments or feedback, let me know what you think of this post!

Do you have any other questions about hypnotherapy? What came up for you while you were reading this? Do you have any personal challenges or struggles that you would want to share?

  1. I’ve always been interested in hypnotherapy and now that I read those results, I’m even more into it. There’s a lot around on the internet about self-hypnosis, do you feel this is adequate or would you recommend visiting a professional such as yourself?

    1. Hi Shirley, you can most definitely try self hypnosis. There are resources out there including my own program and the method that is used falls into the Suggestive Therapy category. I would suggest visiting a professional if you want to gain deeper insights into specific symptoms (both emotional and physical) because with a professional you have a much greater ability to do interactive work- and I will reference here that you will do forms of Regression Therapy to get to root causes. Just like it is beneficial to start workout program with a trainer (to check your form, give you individualized tips that work for you so you see results faster and quicker) it can be a similar comparison to visiting a registered clinical hypnotherapist to help guide and facilitate you on a journey that produces results effectively and efficiently. Let me know if you have any further specific questions and I would be happy to help 🙂

  2. I’ve always wondered if I’m hypnotizable. I feel, just as you said, that this kind of therapy would be so effective since it’s working on the subconscious, but it’s just a matter of getting to that subconscious that I feel would be a struggle for any therapist with me, lol.

    1. Hi Eric, many clients come through my door wondering the same thing! It is always fun to prove them wrong =p Hypnotherapy is an experience and some people do take a bit longer to “deepen” into subconscious state than others…I invite you to try focusing on your breathing for 5 a few times a week to see if you are able to quiet the mind and let go… let me know if you try it and how it goes 🙂

  3. A fascinating post but the truth to me, I’m afraid, I think it’s a field in which we do not have much knowledge, maybe I’m wrong, but I prefer other types of therapies. I like your site! @

    1. Hi Jairo, there is a lot of research that shows the benefits of hypnosis- let me know if you would like me to email you some citations! That being said, I understand hypnotherapy is not for everyone 🙂 Thanks for the comment!
