Hellerwork for Eating Disorders & Healing

What is Hellerwork and could it be something that is useful for you? Eating Disorder Recovery In Quarantine

I did another post on COVID-19 a couple weeks ago that was not specific to eating disorder (ED) recovery. I talked about my three-day stint in fear and anxiety, which could have been a recipe for disaster but luckily I was able to move forward and I am still happy to say that I am, …

Trust Your Intuition Our intuition is a powerful Trust Your Intuition

Our intuition is a powerful gift -
How often do you tap into it?

Here are 5 ways in which you can increase and tap into your powerful gift of knowing.

1. Seek to ask questions and discover answers.

So the first step towards connecting deeper with your intuition is to have the intent to connect deeper with your intuition- like anything, the focus which places emphasis on which you desire to create or do will help to bring into your awareness more of which we will be covering in the next points.

2. Dream Journal

One of my personal favourites- dreams can help you learn to connect with yourself in a deeper way, seek clarity and increase your intuition.
The best way to start a dream journal is to set yourself up for success by having a journal next to your bedside - with a pen - and the first thing to do when you wake up in the morning is to write down everything you can remember. At first your dreams might not come to you but give it about a week and you will notice that you will train yourself to start remembering your dreams.

3. Learn to Trust Yourself

You know that saying, "trust your gut"? Well it rings true- pay particular attention to any body sensations that come up for you in different situations and when meeting new people. Learn to take time to "check in" and assess- see how many “guesses” prove to be true.

3. Disconnect to Connect

Meditation, time in nature and time away from technology/social media/media/noise will help you to filter out what you are taking in versus what is your truth. Meditation and other mindfulness practices are also known to increase intuition.

4. Write

Free writing, automatic writing, poetry- any form of writing can also be used as another form of intuitive guidance. The best way to do this type of writing is to clear your mind by using a form of meditation or mindfulness and just start writing without thinking too much about it. When you first start it could be scribbles, random thoughts, run on sentences. Don't worry about grammar or spelling just keep writing. Doing this consistently will start to provide you with information.
Let me know if you do any of these!
Do you give yourself feedback? How do you give you Do you give yourself feedback?
How do you give yourself feedback?
For those of you who strive to be the best version of themselves it is important to evaluate the different areas of life to see what could use an upgrade.
I have a free life evaluation booklet for you to help you have insight in each area of your life- just visit the link in my bio. I recommend doing this every 6 months-1 year.
How often do you check/evaluate the areas of your life? Why or why not do you do this?

Comfy clothes and decorations, this is the season. Comfy clothes and decorations, this is the season. This year has flown by and I can’t believe that we are only 10 days away from Christmas! Every year as a tradition I purchase a unique decoration that tell a story of that year. It’s a beautiful year to capture memories of the years from each piece. What type of Christmas decoration should I order for this year? - other than perhaps a golden TP Roll 😆
What are some fun traditions that you do each year?
Reflection and Evaluation I’m not sure about y Reflection and Evaluation

I’m not sure about you but December is when I start to reflect and evaluate my past year- in all its forms.
Emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, financially.
For many years I focused on physically and financially but over the years I come to realize that all are equally important and I must keep balanced to ensure that I spread my focus equally.
There is also an interconnected element to this- I.e when I we are doing well emotionally then it often reflects physically.

2020- as we know- brought with it changes... and with those changes many different emotions, insights and reconstructions of sorts.

How was this year for you? What were some highlights and in what ways were you effected the most? Most importantly, how are you remaining true to you?

💗💗💗💗💗💗
There are days I feel like I know where I am heade There are days I feel like I know where I am headed,
There are other days where I wonder,
Where am I walking towards.
I think all of these feels are normal,
The path of life
Can’t always be planned.
I believe that we create our future
But to a certain degree there is fate.

😱Now why does that have to be a bad thing?
Often, we tell ourselves that things “need to be a certain way” OR- we continue to do things a certain way out of habit.
Generationally speaking, a lot of our parents do things a certain way because their parents did it that way- but it doesn’t mean it is the only way or even that it’s right.
I invite you to explore what changes may need to be made, and what might not be working for you anymore- it could just be something as simple as replacing certain foods at meals, and it doesn’t even need to be considered “right” or “wrong”... just bring awareness towards what might need change.
And I am curious,
What would that look like for you?
To heal from an eating disorder took many years, m To heal from an eating disorder took many years, many ups and downs, many moments where I thought it wouldn’t even been possible.
But I kept moving on. I followed through on my daily practice of connecting with spirit and self including meditations, writing, exercises around awareness...Around the mountain, up the mountain.
Around each new bend having greater understanding and awareness- and then suddenly falling off the mountain and not doing my daily practices... that was apart of it too.
Even though my actions were not always a reflection of my progress I still forged forward.
I still make my way up the mountain although this time I don’t carry with me the heaviness or burden of an eating disorder such as bulimia. I am still learning and growing spiritually and in other ways now...
Whatever you are working on moving forward from just know that it is a journey- Don’t lose sight of your goal and recognize that your daily devotion to yourself and whatever it is that keeps you moving forward to reach your goal no matter how tedious and mundane.. it is definitely worth it. And if you have fallen off, it is never to late to start again. You may not be as far off the path as you think.
What are you working on in your every day life/spiritually?
You May As Well Do What You Want: Because no matt You May As Well Do What You Want:

Because no matter what you do there will be critics. Critics are everywhere. People hold judgments and reservations for all types of places/people/things.. none of which are under anyone’s control except for the person who is holding those judgments and thoughts.
So....
If there is a statement that will help you to resolve any people pleasing tendencies, or any hesitations of just going for it- just remind yourself; no matter what you do there will be critics, so you may as well do what you want. 🦋

Out with the old and in with the New. There are t Out with the old and in with the New.

There are times when you feel like your life just needs a complete overhaul...
I am not sure about you but my environment; my home and surroundings completely affect my mood and inspiration levels.
For several years I have absolutely loved keeping this little collection of everything that represents me on the shelf… And lately I just feel like it’s time to let it all go to make space for the new!

BUT Then there is that part of me that wants to hold on to it’s familiarity- sound familiar?

Is there anything in your life that you once held so dear but are now looking to let go of? It could be as a collection of bits/ a piece of furniture that you no longer vibe with as strongly or maybe an old favourite sweater that you realize never gets worn anymore……
What are you wanting to make space for?
12 things I’ve learned from my daughter at 12 mo 12 things I’ve learned from my daughter at 12 months:

1. Time does not make sense and mom brain is a real thing.
2. I really don’t need to have it all figured out.
3. I don’t mind staying at home for extended periods of time.
4. Sometimes, what will be will have to be.
5. Leave her shirt on the floor. It will be there again, anyways.
6. The same point is to not leave blocks with the pointed corners on the floor because they will press into your feet and hurt.
7. For whatever reason I can survive my daughter’s dirty diaper smell.
8. I have never been more appreciative of sleep.
9. I am very grateful and lucky to have a partner in the picture who enjoys being a father; and with this said I honestly don’t have any clue how single moms do it all.
10. I still feel like I fall short as a parent as times.
11. There is so much in the little moments
12. Every child is different- so don’t dare compare!

And in this moment... it is interesting to think that what will happen tomorrow isn’t promised. Nothing really is guaranteed. Good things can happen. Greater things can happen. Setbacks can happen. Change is really the only constant.
